Grilled Pineapple

Is there anything better than grilled pineapple in the summer?? Biting into the warm, juicy, and sweet pineapple just makes me smile. I think everyone deserves to be smiley in the summer, so I’m sharing with you how to bring on the smiles with grilled pineapple :)

Prep Time: 2 hours
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Servings: 10+

Ingredients:

  • (1 Whole) Pineapple

  • (1/2 - 1 cup) Honey

  • (Drizzle) Olive Oil

  • (1/4 cup (optional)) Brown Sugar

Directions:

First and foremost, you need a pineapple (or many if you’re like me), honey, brown sugar, and a little bit of olive oil.  To make the magic happen slice with pineapple however you want, making them between ¼ and ½ thick.  Place in them in a bag and drizzle a small amount of olive oil, this is so they don’t stick to your grill.  Add the honey, and brown sugar if you’re feeling extra sweet, and let it sit for at least 2 hours, overnight for the best results.

Heat the grill to medium heat and grill each side for about 3-4 minutes depending on the thickness of the slice.  I personally love to cook until I have char line on the pineapple slices, it brings a nice flavor. If you’re grilling to impress, plate the pineapple with some mint or basil leaves.

Now, you are ready to bring on the smiles with deliciously grilled pineapple they will leave your family (or guests) begging for more!
